On Saturday, 3rd April, the Forum de Barcelona hosted the Brompton Spanish Championship 2010. The race took place on a closed circuit of approximately 12 km, making it only slightly shorter than the UK's World Championship course; the layout, especially designed for this event, combined asphalt and paved surfaces.
Over 30 riders took part, new owners and veterans alike. In the spirit of staying true to the urban experience, and in keeping with the World Championship rules, all participants donned suits or similar business attire.
First place position, for both the fastest male and female categories were rewarded with a return flight to London and entry to the Brompton World Championship 2010.
